Brazilian startup StreamFin, based in Rio de Janeiro, has launched an artificial intelligence platform for financial advisory and consulting firms and is preparing a R$2.5 million pre-seed round in the coming months.

The company is already operating in beta with an investment advisory firm linked to BTG Pactual (B3: BPAC11) and is negotiating new deployments with other companies in the sector.

StreamFin was founded by Marcelo Oliveira, Paulo Pellon and Helio Lopes, executives with more than three decades of experience. Marcelo co-founded and served as CEO of RiskControl, which was acquired by Accenture in 2010, where he stayed until 2023. Pellon held executive positions at Kraft Heinz, AB InBev and Ambev and founded Rio Venture Capital, while Lopes is co-founder of Datamint and a full professor at PUC-Rio.

To develop StreamFin, the founders raised capital from angel investors in the financial and technology markets. The funding financed the development of the first version of the technology, infrastructure and AI specialized for the financial market. In the R$2.5 million pre-seed round, planned for 2026, the company intends to direct the new funds toward accelerating customer acquisition and expanding the platform.

StreamFin enters the market at a time when advances in artificial intelligence are beginning to widen the gap in technological capabilities among financial institutions. Well-capitalized banks and new entrants are developing proprietary tools to serve investors with personalization at scale, while financial advisory and consulting firms compete for the same clients with smaller teams and less capacity to invest in technology.

“Artificial intelligence is already redefining how the financial market operates. Large banks have the capacity to develop this technology internally, but most advisory and consulting firms do not. Our mission is to democratize access,” says Marcelo.

According to StreamFin estimates, developing and maintaining enterprise artificial intelligence infrastructure represents more than 2% of revenue for more than 80% of firms in the sector. At the same time, AI tools are already used in the day-to-day operations of many advisory firms, but often in isolation, without governance, integration with the company’s systems or guarantees regarding how information is handled.

The challenge is amplified by the size of the industry. According to Ancord, Brazil ended the first half of 2026 with 27,200 accredited investment advisers, with 1,709 becoming accredited during the first six months of the year alone. With each adviser serving dozens or hundreds of clients, individually tracking portfolios, market events and opportunities becomes an operational challenge.

According to StreamFin estimates, inefficient execution causes every group of ten advisers to miss out on more than R$1 million in opportunities per year.

The technology connects strategy, execution and management within a single environment. The institution’s allocation team defines the strategy, and StreamFin cross-references information on financial products, markets, portfolios and clients to turn that strategy into individualized actions. The platform identifies cash flow events, rebalancing opportunities and relevant market movements and indicates which clients should be contacted, why they should be contacted and what recommendation should be made. The execution of these actions can also be monitored in real time.

“Today, in most firms, only the top clients receive individualized attention; the others receive generic communications or are contacted only when they reach out to their adviser. With StreamFin, the allocation team defines the strategy and the platform turns it into individualized action plans for each client, identifying cash flow events, rebalancing opportunities and relevant market movements, indicating which clients to contact, why they should be contacted and what recommendation should be made, while monitoring execution in real time. All of this takes into account the assets the client holds across the different institutions where they invest,” Marcelo says.

At Philos Invest & Solutions, StreamFin is already part of the advisers’ daily routines.

“At Philos Invest, StreamFin has become an essential part of the adviser’s routine. With each client’s history integrated into the context of the relationship and AI expanding our analytical capabilities, our team has gained hours of productivity each week, leaving more time to invest in what matters: the personalized relationship with each client,” says Rafael Marques, CEO of Philos Invest & Solutions.

StreamFin maintains technology partnerships with AWS, Google, NVIDIA and Neo4j and has Datamint as a strategic partner specializing in the development of AI solutions using semantic modeling. The company also receives mentorship from Stelleo Tolda, co-founder and former CEO of Mercado Livre.

The architecture was developed to operate in regulated corporate environments, with dedicated and segregated infrastructure. Each institution’s data remains in its own environment and is not used to train public models.
