Turkish Airlines has announced the expansion of its operations in South America with new flight frequencies on the São Paulo–Istanbul (GRU–IST) and São Paulo–Santiago (GRU–SCL) routes. Starting June 17, the company began offering 14 weekly flights between São Paulo and Istanbul, and seven weekly flights between São Paulo and Santiago, consolidating its strategic presence in the region.

The expansion of the airline’s network reinforces Turkish Airlines’ commitment to connecting South America to destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, offering greater flexibility and connectivity options for both corporate and leisure passengers.

The new Santiago–São Paulo–Istanbul flight broadens connection possibilities for Chilean and Brazilian passengers, aligning with the growing demand for international travel and strengthening the tourism and business flows between the countries.

With these new frequencies, Turkish Airlines further strengthens its position as one of the leading global airlines for international connectivity, providing access to 358 destinations worldwide through its hub in Istanbul.

Beyond enhanced connectivity, Turkish Airlines is focused on adding value to the passenger journey through exclusive benefits like the highly acclaimed Stopover in Istanbul program. This initiative transforms extended layovers into an immersive cultural and tourism opportunity for Latin American travelers.

The program incentivizes passengers to explore the historic city by offering complimentary accommodation for eligible layovers: Economy Class travelers typically receive a one-night stay in a four-star hotel, while Business Class passengers can enjoy two nights in a five-star hotel.

Additionally, for travelers with shorter transit times (between 6 and 24 hours), the airline offers Touristanbul, providing free guided city tours that include meals, transfers, and visits to iconic landmarks. Ultimately, these perks not only enrich the travel experience but deliver significant added value for corporate and leisure travelers alike.
